The fact that you are even reading this article on this website, suggests that you are pursuing financial data for some purpose. That purpose could be to use that data to find investing or trading opportunities. Or that use could be as an assignment for someone else (work, clients, etc.)
Whatever your use case you are going to discover that working with financial data is challenging and often frustrating. To find accurate data, you’ll have to pay hefty monthly fees. It makes you wonder just how “efficient” the market is when Wall Street companies can afford to shell out monthly bills while the average investor is usually stuck using free (and often inaccurate) resources.
Of course, if you are a provider of financial data, why shouldn’t you be allowed to maximum your revenue for something so coveted? There really is no easy answer to this dilemma.
It’s also the reason I started the Financial Data Guy website. I wanted to have a resource for people to help overcome these challenges. I don’t have all the answers. But I always look out for what is new and what may help the average retail investor regarding financial data.

However, I can assure you that I will make every effort to only include products or services that are relevant to the topics covered on this website and will check out each offer and offer buy them myself, to ensure they fit with the overall theme of my website.
You’ll find plenty of free valuable content on this website. You have my word on that. I strive to make this a useful resource, not just a place to sell products. Others may participate in that nonsense, but I don’t believe in it. I will be including tutorials (financial and data analysis), and reviews of products both free and paid, and also, articles on the pitfalls to be aware of during your financial/data journey.
